About
Situated close to the M4, junction 49, we are the perfect place for a stopover if you're heading further West into Wales or heading East. Ideal if you are travelling to / from Ireland. Great for cycle enthusiasts Book a stay with us; Bryncelynqueeen Mini Shetland Stud is a small stud founded by Catherine & Gary in 2022 and is set in a fabulous south-facing location on the fringe of the Black Mountains, near Ammanford. We breed and show registered miniature Shetland ponies of good temperament and correct confirmation. We offer a real family experience where parents and children have the opportunity to enjoy being outdoors making memories and having fun together. Book a personal experience with our ponies, perfect for children who adore ponies and wish to create special magical memories. We offer the pleasure of interacting, children can spend time with our mini Shetland ponies, including an introduction to our ponies including identifying parts of the pony, grooming, leading round the paddock and feeding. Each child will receive a rosette, sticker and "well done" certificate at the end of the session. The cost for a one hour session is £15.00 per child. FAQ's: 1. Do I need to bring my own hat? No, we have hats to current BHS standard in a variety of sizes. 2. My child has never been near a pony, are they safe? All ponies can be unpredictable but we provide a safely briefing before anyone comes into contact with the ponies and you will be supervised at all times. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ One of Carmarthenshire's principal towns, Ammanford was once the heartland of the mining community in West Wales. On the approach to Ammanford, you will spot sculptures of a boar and 2 piglets. The image also appears on the crest for Ammanford Town Council, and football and rugby club. The significance of the boar in known locally as 'Y' Twrch Trwyth' (The Enchanted Boar) and is the subject of Arthurian legend.
